Merry merry
I hope you all had a merry christmas!
Dec. 24th -
On the 24th we went to Derek's parents' house for supper. Turkey, meatballs... yum yum! The kids had a great time opening their gifts (of course). Molly hit pay dirt with her Polly Pocket Snow Hotel. The boys got tractors and semis. Lots playing ensued.
We came home and the kids opened their traditional PJ's...
Molly ~ cat jammies
Jack ~ spongebob jammies
Max ~ the incredibles jammies
And then bed.
Put the last of the gifts in the stockings.
Dec. 25th -
Kids woke up at 8am.... Derek only pulled himself out of bed at 11am! So the we watched the Disney parade while we waited. Turned on the TV to the Yule Log channel... a real fireplace would be SOO much better! Maybe next year.
And the wrapping paper's off! Stockings first. Do you know how hard it is to find personalized items with "Molly", "Jack" and "Max"? This year we did though. And then there were Cabbage Patch babies, Barbies, semis with car carriers, Dora (for Max) and more.
(Jack would ask me if I wanted to take a picture of every gift he had... and then held it up high!!)
Derek and I didn't really do gifts (although he bought me 8 baskets for my cabinet). I was so thrilled with Molly's manners this year! Saying thank you after every gift! Max had a hay-day! "Open?"... everytime!
Man do I hate the clean-up though! Oh well. 6 garbage bags here waiting for clean-up.
Play play play
Nap for Max and then off to my family's for supper. Chicken and lasagna. Aunt Sheila joined us this year. Her boys were at Scott's this year. (I made sure to grab her the rub-ons she's been eyeing). She even got the kids gifts this year. And from Jodie and Mom and Dad... lego, trucks, cars, a keyboard, coloring books, and more. Collage Art book, cash, Mr. and Mrs. Smith DVD, Buffy Season 7 DVD (!), Clue DVD, fabric-covered mini drawer unit for me. Jodie also bought us a box of coke!!!
A good day. Kids were pooped. We had on Home Alone (which the kids have seen a dozen times before) and when the bumbling theives arrive and get injured left and right Max totally started freaking out... that they were hurt! We sat on the rocking chair and he fell asleep immediately! Guess that 15 minute nap in the afternoon just wasn't enough!
But all in all a good holiday. Now to clean up and get back to work at the Shoppe.
3/4 of the way to my new camera!!!
Decided not to enter HOF this year... want to "reevaluate" my "style".
Almost caught up burning my pics onto a disk...now to catch up on printing them out.
TO DO:
- print out pics
- finish burning pics onto disc
- finish cleaning and finding "homes" for the kids new toys
- scrapbook
- catch up on christmas journal
- tidy-up studio
