Got a little scrapping done this last week. I really like how the Studio one turned out. The others.... well those are ones that just needed to be done.
Got the February newsletter out today. Some cool inspiration from Liz... very artsy! (I'd provide the link, but it's not working for me right now.)
Every week we'll be posting organization/storage tips for your scrap space. Here's mine...
"My paper storage changes all the time! This is a break-down of how it is right now...
* Patterned paper is stored in one of two ways. 1. Chatterbox, KI, Basic Grey and miscellaneous papers are stored in large baskets. I stapled index tabs to the tops of pieces of cardstock to use as dividers and also have them grouped in 12x12 paper envelopes.
2. All the other manufacturers (Scrapworks, Foofala, etc.) are stored in a wire rack from the store. Some share a shelf. I, again, use chipboard pieces with index tabs as dividers.
* 12x12 cardstock is stored in 8.5x11 paper trays turned sideways. Sorted red, orange, yellow, green, blue, etc. 8.5x11 cardstock is stored in 8.5x11 boxes I found somewhere (when cleaning out the office in the restaurant I think). I cut them on the diagonal and turned them on their sides so they'd fit below the bench my patterned paper is on.* If the paper I'm using is now less than half the size it originally was, then I put it in my scraps basket. This large basket sits at eye level to the right of one of my work spaces so I always remember to look in there first. I also have a smaller basket for scraps I think I'll be using on cards. "
The rest of the DT has some great ideas as well.... be sure to check it out.
And on the home front...
Molly and I are working on her counting by 5's and 10's. She always gets stuck after 15 ("5,10,15,16...). She also brought home her first Mr. Mugs book yesterday! I totally loved Mr. Mugs when I was a kid! I can't believe they're still using it!! Awesome! She spent 40 minutes reading yesterday! Love to see that!
Derek's very overwhelmed with work right now... which is good and bad... all at the same time. I'm going to attempt to learn Simply Accounting this weekend and hopefully take some of the load off him.
And it looks like Lola's sick. Poor puppy. Man... it would be nice if she were house-trained!!
Getting ready for the crop tonight. Getting back to work tomorrow. I'm tossing around some ideas for the Member cards. We'll see how that goes. I'd love your feedback.
Hopefully have a date nailed down with Ali very soon.
